This qualification in Passive Fire Protection is for those who have experience at Firestopping duties. There is a choice of units available as the qualification covers a wide range of fire prevention activities which may not be relevant to what you do.<\/p>\n

\n\u2013 Installing Dry Cladding
\n\u2013 Fire Resistant Ceiling Systems \/ Wall Linings
\n\u2013 Fire Resistant Ductwork Systems
\n\u2013 Fire Resistant Spray Coatings<\/p>\n
You will need to demonstrate practical skills in a variety of areas to prove you have the ability to carry out your work safely and to a good standard.<\/p>\n
You will also need to show understanding and awareness to prove you have a good level of knowledge in areas of your work and construction-related health & safety.<\/p>\n
OSAT (On Site Assessment & Training)<\/strong><\/p>\n Your assessor will visit you between 2-4 times (in general) to collect evidence relating to the qualification you\u2019re doing. Using methods such as Observation (watching) and Questioning\/Discussion they will collect what\u2019s needed to prove your competence at your trade.<\/p>\n A third party reference (Witness Testimony)can be used as another source of evidence stating the work you do on site and that you are capable of working safely.<\/p>\n Videos and recorded discussions are sometimes used as they are a good way of collecting substantial evidence in both practical ability and level of understanding.<\/p>\n Your assessor will work with you to plan the assessments and methods used according to the individual.<\/p>\n The timescale between your initial induction for the course and completion varies.
